In the field of skiing SuperPipe, Bolle’s representative, the 24-year-old Jen Hudak, dedicated her gold medal performance to her family and friends who all watched the event to cheer for her. After the game, Hudak, a Colorado native, said that it has always been her dream to win the winter X games; she has been competing for six years. Moreover, she said that she was completely shocked to finally have won it.
In the snowboarding category, another Bolle representative, Lindsey Jacobellis, won a gold medal in the Women’s Snowboarding X division; it was her third in a row. She had to work for the medal though. Her win was a ‘come from behind’ one against the resilient Helene Olafsen.
The other athletes who represented Bolle ski goggles didn’t do badly either. Seth Wescott, the 2006 Winter Olympic gold medalist, grabbed the silver medal in his category: Men’s Snowboarding.
These athletes shall soon meet again for the 2010 Winter Olympics which will be held at Vancouver, British Columbia, and they shall prove themselves once again, only this time, it will be against tougher opponents and at the biggest event in the world for winter sports.
