Oakley’s Very Own Kevin Pearce Making Tremendous Strides in His Recovery

Oakley’s very own Kevin Pearce still continues in making tremendous strides despite of encountering an accident just a month ago. He has been admitted to a world famous rehabilitation and research for patients with traumatic brain injury from University Utah Hospital then transferred to Craig Hospital.

Whilst at the Utah Hospital he was assisted by a lot of doctors, one of them was a Neurointensivist – a specialized physician in training and education in critical neurological conditions, Dr. Holly Ledyard at the University of Utah Health Care.

The Dr. was very proud for Kevin and most especially in his fight throughout the steps in his recovery. “He has made excellent developments since the day he was admitted on December 31, 2009. He can walk and do a lot of usual activities though with little assistance. He felt so excited when I asked him how he feels regarding on being discharged from the hospital. “I am already to keep on going!” His determination and positive attitude will surely serve him well as he moves on to the 2nd stage of his rehabilitation,” the Doctor said.

Kevin Pearce is a famous American snowboarder and was born in Norwich, Vermont. He learned snowboarding through the help of his brother and uncles. He begun competing at a young age and gradually worked her way up to the bigger events. He is now traveling all over the world competing, thanks mainly to Oakley goggles –styled for slopes that’s suitable to strike with the mountains.

With Kevin going on board to a new phase of rehabilitation, his family is looking forward for his full blast recovery.
