Tom Ford Makes his Debut in the Film Industry

Tom Ford has always been one of the key players in the fashion market today. His movie, A Single Man, has continued to garner multiple awards including 3 Golden Globe nominations. He based the screenplay, which he wrote himself, on Christopher Isherwood’s novel. The novel tells the story of George and his ups and downs of being gay in the year 1962 – an era in which homosexuality was not as accepted as it was today. Meanwhile, the character also worries about the declining moral and social fabric of the era, and the fear-based politics that was practiced by that era’s politicians.

Ford once said in an interview that he expresses his artistic talents in his films and fashion endeavors in order to inspire people. According to him, there is not much difference between film and fashion in achieving that goal.
