Guy Tattoos Ray-Ban Sunglasses on His Face

There is a new viral video right now in Youtube posted just last week about a guy from Los Angeles, California getting Ray-Ban sunglasses tattooed on his face. The video, with over 800 thousand views, showed this guy who is only known as "Matthew" smiling while his face got a permanent mark of black Ray-Ban sunglasses on them. At first, the tattoo artist seemed hesitant to perform the task, but Matthew insisted that he knew what he was doing.

After the inking was done, Matthew commented that his new facial tattoo was "awesome," He jokingly put on real sunglasses as if trying to compare it with his tattoo. A female voice from the background said, "You don't need those anymore."

Although highly entertaining, the credibility of the video is highly disputed. There are numerous rumors that the video itself is a hoax intended for advertising. These rumors stemmed from the fact that the video was posted online by Never Hide Films which is a production company owned by Ray-Ban. Never Hide Films' channel on Youtube has been notorious in posting videos that are equally as absurd.

They even have a video about a cow giving birth to man who is wearing Ray-Ban sunglasses. And with the bars set on that level of absurdity, there is very good reason to believe that a man having sunglasses tattooed on his face won't be a very far-fetched marketing idea.

Nonetheless, hoax or not, the video sure did catch the attention of the internet public as evidenced by the number of media attention and comments that it has received. Thanks to the success of video websites, most especially Youtube.com, the internet has become a very effective tool in viral marketing.

The more attention-grabbing the videos are, the faster they spread in the public's minds. With that being said, you can bet your bottom dollar that more interesting videos will be coming.
