The recent iF International Forum Design awarded one of the world’s leading rimless eyewear makers, Silhouette sunglasses, a very prestigious international award in design.
Silhouette sunglasses had long been one of the most prosperous manufacturers of eyewear in the design award’s history, and this time, they have done it again with their Dreamwings design from their 2010 Sun Collection.
A jury of experts from across the globe assessed 11 criteria for the awards: quality of the design, processing, materials selection, level of innovation, environmental sustainability, ergonomics, functionality, usage visualization, brand value and branding, safety, and universal design.
More than a thousand companies and brands from 39 countries worldwide contended in the 16 categories of the iF production design awards for 2010. The iF Production awards is considered by many as one of the major authorities in recognizing design excellence.
The Dreamwings sunglasses are light, yet sturdy. They flatter and softly shield the wearer’s face with their attractive choices of colors namely grey, earth, apricot. Additionally, the design includes subtle decorative elements that radiate overflowing harmony and elegance. Wearing a pair of these sunglasses would surely be a real fashion statement for the spring or summer of 2010.
Silhouette eyewear has long been famous for its brilliant craftsmanship. The products are mostly hand-crafted in Austria, and the dedication for perfection can be observed down to the most miniscule detail.
